Throughout the years a variety of styles have been the rage in the clothing industry. From poodle skirts to hammer pants, styles change quickly. Even pieces that remain classic are often updated every few years to keep them fresh. For instance, pearls have come in necklace varieties ranging from a simple strand that fits as a choker to drapes of up to 10 or 20 strands that dangle down as far as the tops of the kneecaps. The problem many people find with styles is they are sometimes not practical or they make you look like everyone else walking down the street. If you are looking for a way to jazz up everyday work clothes, or you want to incorporate a utilitarian look into you wardrobe, there are a number of options that will translate to great style. The riding look has long been popular among the fashion savvy and you can incorporate it into your wardrobe with riding pants, knee high boots and riding helmet covers. A helmet cover takes an average looking protective piece and turns it into a high fashion look. Best of all, if you do ride you will be able to do so looking more stylish than anyone else on a horse.
Another great look that is utilitarian and stylish is the safari look. This becomes popular again every few years, thanks in part to stores and designers that specialize in pieces like khaki pants, vests, and sturdy boots. The look works well on most body types and it is usually neutral in color so you can mix it with a variety of other options. In order to incorporate the style into your wardrobe without looking foolish, just wear one piece of safari inspired clothing at a time. For instance, throw on a pair of comfortable khaki-colored cargo pants with a cute t-shirt or tank top and pair it with sandals. For extra splash, choose sandals that are metallic or have a little sparkle to them. This makes the look more feminine while still keeping with the safari theme. The important thing is to not go overboard with the pieces. Just one item packs a powerful punch and if you were it all together, you will look a bit silly.
